Abstract

The objective of this research work was to determine the incidence of recreational activities on the basic motor skills of schoolchildren in general education. The study corresponds to a quantitative approach, whose research approach was applied through a quasi-experimental design. The present research was carried out by means of a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience, the study sample was 60 schoolchildren, who are between 9 and 11 years old in the morning school day. A program of recreational activities was applied for 6 months. The MOBAK battery was applied, which allowed an analysis of basic motor skills made up of two dimensions: object control and body control, which include tests of throwing, catching, driving with the hand and driving with the foot, balancing, rolling, jumping and running, analyzed before and after the intervention. The analysis of the statistical results reveals a high level of incidence of the recreational activities program in all basic motor skills in the study sample.
