The common bean is a legume native to the American continent, worldwide it is considered one of the most important crops. In the country, they are important components of sustainable production systems, mainly in the Sierra, by cultivating in an associated, intercropped, monoculture and rotation with other crops. Weed control was carried out manually by weeding with machetes without using herbicides every 15 days to avoid nutrient competition between the plant and the weeds. The height of the plant was taken every 7 days where growth was obtained 70 days after sowing of Iniap 307 variable soybean of 71cm, Supreme variable soybean 69cm, forty bean 68.2cm and butter bean 75cm, which indicates that there is a significant difference in growth between the varieties. In soybean crops, the Iniap 307 variety differs with 2cm more height than the Suprema variety. The Bean crops of the Butter Bean variety reached a height of 75cm, which gives it a difference from the 40-year-old Bean of 6.8cm higher.
