Implementation of AI bots in the iADAN web system at the Instituto Tecnológico Universitario Rumiñahui

This document illustrates the implementation and use of bots that integrate artificial intelligence (AI), through the implementation of language model APIs developed by OpenAI. The purpose is to generate information in a coherent and organized manner within an academic institutional environment at the Instituto Tecnológico Universitario Rumiñahui. The objective of this research is to evaluate the viability and effectiveness of the integrated system of bots and AI, called iADAN, focused on improving interaction and access to information in academic contexts. As a method, a system was implemented using advanced technologies such as ChatGPT and Dall-e, integrated through APIs and supported by the Model View Controller (MVC) pattern and the Laravel framework, in an institutionally controlled environment. The results indicate that the iADAN portal has been successfully implemented, demonstrating significant improvements in interaction and accessibility to educational resources, and optimizing administrative and academic processes. It is concluded that iADAN presents itself as an effective tool in the academic environment, with potential for future expansion and enhancements that could include emerging technologies and new AI applications. This work represents a first pragmaticstep towards offering automated services based on artificial intelligence for the benefit of the institutional community, fostering the broad use of ICT in response to institutional needs.
