Energy efficiency analysis is a technique that makes it possible to clearly and specifically identify opportunities for energy savings, especially in sectors with high energy consumption. The objective of this study was to analyze and evaluate the implementation of strategies aimed at reducing electricity consumption and promoting an energy-saving culture through the application of efficiency concepts. The research followed a qualitative–quantitative and bibliographic approach. On the one hand, an analysis of information related to the efficient use of residential electricity was conducted; on the other hand, a diagnostic assessment was carried out through data collection on the current electricity consumption of a segment of the area under analysis in the canton of Manta. The results show that the highest electricity consumption occurs in refrigeration systems. Additionally, it was determined that users do not disconnect appliances when they are not in use, own refrigerators with an age ranging from one to five years, consider it important to purchase appliances with energy-saving features, and recognize the importance of saving both energy and water within the household. Furthermore, a socialization process was developed to promote the efficient use of electrical appliances and good energy-saving practices. Finally, a comparative analysis of electricity consumption billed by CNEL E.P. for the years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 was carried out, revealing a significant reduction in consumption in 2025. It is concluded that the adoption of responsible behaviors in the use of electricity contributes to environmental protection and sustainability.
