The acquisition of knowledge and integration of new technologies has demonstrated that they can improve access to healthcare services, such as skin care and dermatology diagnostics, through the application of mobile technologies and applications. The introduction of smartphones and tablets, which provide more advanced computing and communication capabilities, has led to a strong emergence of mHealth applications in the market. This systematic review investigates mHealth mobile technologies and applications for skin care. The search was conducted between 2010 and 2022, finding 172 articles that resemble the topic; they were reduced to 32 articles with available text, for this purpose studies that do not contribute to the research were excluded. As a result, it can be concluded that there is a guideline to use mhealth mobile applications and technologies for the care and diagnosis of skin pathologies by combining algorithms, models, techniques and methods through the adoption of intelligent systems. It is worth considering that the integration of mobile applications directly for skin care is in its infancy within the research field, which offers promising results.
