Abstract

Orality is an essential part of social coexistence, that relationship that is registered in all the contexts in which the individual develops. In particular, this study focuses on investigating the level of research on the topic of orality in higher education, since public speaking is considered a generic skill for all professionals, but specific for certain careers. The methodology applied is the systematic review, processing the search in the regional and high-impact databases Latindex, Science Direct, Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc, Education Source and Academic Search. The search was carried out based on descriptors. The selection of the study objective is made based on the Trend technique that establishes the inclusion and exclusion criteria; after applying them, 10 were selected from which some aspects of form and substance were analyzed. The conclusions focus on the fact that the study and research around orality in students increases the interest of researchers. The studies are carried out using quantitative and qualitative methodologies, although the former prevails.
