Abstract

Body image is an individual's perception and evaluation of their own physical appearance. The objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between body image and the level of physical activity in students of physical activity and sport pedagogy. The sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience of 24 students out of a total population of 800 students from the aforementioned hill. The methodology used was quantitative, non-experimental, correlational, field, with a cross section. The correlation between the two variables was made: body image and the level of physical activity in students, Spearman's correlation was made. Where a Rho=0.673 was obtained, that is to say that the relationship between the variables is directly proportional and of moderate intensity, with a statistical p-value less than 0.05, therefore, it is also statistically significant. This means that as the level of body image satisfaction increases, the level of physical activity also increases. Conclusion: having a high level of physical activity in physical activity and sport pedagogy students acts as a protective factor to have a positive body image.
