The research was carried out from the perspective of the post-positivist paradigm, so the results presented here should be considered as probably true. It pursues a quantitative approach, and has a descriptive and correlational scope, with a cross section. The study was carried out through the collection of information through surveys structured in three dimensions under the approach of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard, these were addressed to the coordinators of 11 existing units within the university. Regarding the reliability of the instrument, it was analyzed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, in which a result of 0.825 was obtained, this being higher than the essential minimum. The main results show that the first two dimensions have a poor level of compliance, so it does not contribute significantly to the effectiveness of the quality management system, so it is concluded that a leadership style that contributes to the full operation and compliance with each aspect mentioned in the standard.
