Abstract

The present project is oriented to implement an autonomous micro sprinkler irrigation system using photovoltaic solar energy and having as its support the electrical energy of the network instead of batteries. This system was designed to satisfy the humidity needs of two parcel of land: one for cocoa and the other one for coffee, located in the "La Playita" Experimental Center of the Technical University of Cotopaxi La Maná Extension. The continuous irrigation of these crops will be guaranteed by a water pump that will be tasked of supplying the necessary wáter to be used by the micro sprinklers, the irrigation time in the pieces of land is controlled by humidity and temperature sensors, these electronic devices are programmed by different tools; and the whole system will be powered by solar energy, thus getting an autonomous and reliable irrigation system that has a low environmental impact.
