Meaningful learning and teaching mathematics

The research focused on the influence of meaningful learning in the teaching of mathematics, by means of an in-depth bibliographic review and the application of a survey to 100 students of the Psychology and Tourism careers of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Education of the Technical University of Ambato. The results obtained by this instrument allowed determining the correlation between the variables. Likewise, it was concluded that the variables are closely related, therefore, strategic measures should be taken for the development of psycho-pedagogical plans, which strengthen mathematical knowledge and thus chain them to long-term memory, whose purpose is to obtain significant learning.
