Business intelligence as an alternative to generating value and competitive advantage in micro-enterprises

Abstract

At present knowledge is an essential point in any type of company through which it is sought to improve performance in all areas that make up it, However, many organizations limit themselves to storing data that is not being exploited in an adequate way, which is why the possibility of having information to guide their business strategy is lost. In response, the application of business intelligence (BI) is proposed as a strategy for generating value and competitive advantage. There are different easily accessible technological tools that make it possible to analyze in an automated way the historical data that micro-enterprises have of their clients, daily activities, business processes, among others in order to identify strengths and weaknesses to resolve, however many of them have a high cost that complicates the acquisition of micro-enterprises, reason why within the present work are presented three tools that help in this end and characterized by their versatility in cost and functionality. On the other hand, business intelligence can be a very broad field is why through the deductive method has been able to establish the fundamental components to consider by a microenterprise when seeking to incorporate such strategies within your organization.
