Web Proxy Server Under Java Platform as Technological Support in Distance and Virtual Education
Abstract
The research work proposes a new option for the configuration of a web proxy server under the java platform using the http protocol in the Directorate of Distance and Virtual Education (DEaDV) of the Technical University of Ambato (UTA), which allows its administration and configuration in a more user-friendly and easy-to-use way. In the web proxy server using the http protocol, the suggested testing scenario was carried out, which helps to see the ease of the work carried out, which allowed the analysis of the data of the users who browse the Internet at the Address, for the transmission of information in an efficient and fast way, through the LAN and MAN network. The web proxy server; They were analyzed, configured to be able to verify through their implementation which is the best valid browsing option, the parameters that were analyzed are the following: Browsing speed, downloading programs, videos, and access to different pages. Scenarios are proposed which will allow us to create tests with which some will be established during peak hours when browsing the web and after when there is less traffic on the network.
