Abstract

Automatic voltage control in power generation plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability of power systems. The purpose of this study was to perform a comparative analysis of automatic voltage regulators, focusing on theoretical models of a basic system with a feedback stabilizer and a PID controller, using the Matlab-Simulink tool. The corresponding simulations were carried out to compare the behavior of the different AVR system models studied. During the process, the response times and damping capacity of the output signal of each AVR model were evaluated in an estimated time for the simulation, with the objective of determining the effectiveness of each system in stabilizing the magnitude of the tension. In the final section of the document, the results obtained from the analyzed models were presented.
