El experimento fue realizado el 2 de Julio del 2018, en el área del Vivero Forestal perteneciente a la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Ambientales Mútile, en La Universidad “Luis Vargas Torres” de Esmeraldas. En cada uno de los métodos se empleó un diseño completamente al azar, con 15 unidades muestrales por cajetín y con al menos tres repeticiones por cada tratamiento, dándonos como total un tamaño muestral de 135 considerando a la testigo.
